A follow up to the Converse Spring 2007 collaboration with Junya Watanabe Man, Comme des Garcon's Rei Kawakubo worked closely with Converse to  create the four styles in the series. Borrowing a silhouette from a 1950's vintage Chuck Taylor All Star model that was originally produced for the US military in the 1950's, the cotton canvas shoes feature unique, high rands and  ultra-premium construction details and a hand-crafted feel. Converse has a  long history of being on the feet of those who have chosen to disrupt the  status-quo and as one of fashion's most innovative designers world-renowned  for its avant-garde style, Comme des Garcons was a natural choice for a  Converse collaboration.”
